certain types of item list
Last modified: 2021-04-14 10:39:56 UTC
The item lists with roman digits [I. II. ...] and with bracketed numbers [(1) (2) ...] fail in align after fifth to tenth item. Suddenly a non removable tab is inserted at line start.
Please attach a document in which this occurs.

Roman digits is dedicated for chapter's numbering not for list If you really want this, you must set a style.
(In reply to Jens611 from comment #0) > The item lists with roman digits [I. II. ...] and with bracketed numbers > [(1) (2) ...] fail in align after fifth to tenth item. Suddenly a non > removable tab is inserted at line start. You might also add to your list (Roman digits, bracketed numbers) the case [ (a) (b) ...]. See the attached file: "Numbering". It's not a bug. The feature can be adjusted via settings in "Bullets and Numbering", "Position" tab (indent, spacing, and alignment options) or by using styles. See also the topic "Workarounds For Bug With Outlining?" https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=83590&p=388161&hilit=+numbered+list+roman#p388161 ( you might download the file "list_label_spacing_20160530a.odt" attached to that topic ) And two additional notes: 1. MS Word 2010 (the last version of Word I have a license for) provides the numbering list with Roman upper/lower case that works as may be expected. See the attached screenshot "Word 2010 - numbering". Perhaps there is a room for improving AOO in this regard? 2. Similiar report has been filed to LibreOffice Bugzilla: Bug 141562 - certain types of item list https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141562
