Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 97753
table cell content lost, which is entered after first intermediate save
Last modified: 2009-01-12 13:10:40 UTC
When using impress and typing into a table. On saving once text is retained in the table however if you save more than once it does not save the text.
Created attachment 59124 [details] File I was working on when it happened
I cannot reproduce it. Please try to reproduce it in a way, that you can give us a step by step description. Perhaps it is a duplicate to issue 97699.
I open the file attached after downloading it. I type text into the table on the second slide. Then I save the file. Then I type more text into the same file. I press save again, it says the save was successful. I the click exit on the file menu. On reopening the file some of the text in the table is missing.
OK, reproducible. Steps: Start OOo. Start a new presentation with a blank layout. Insert a table, for example 3 rows x 4 columns. Write text in the left top cell. Save the document with click on the Icon. Write text in the left middle cell. Write text in the left bottom cell. Save the document with click on the Icon. Close OOo with File > Exit. Start OOo. Open presentation file. Notice the middle cell and the bottom cell is empty. There is no difference whether you close with File > Exit or close with the cross. There is no difference whether the table has been in edit mode or not. The content is also lost, if you draw a rectangle after editing the table. Only cell content which is entered after reopen and before first save is stored. All cell content which is entered after the first saving is lost. Adjust the summary. I use OOo3.0 on WinXP.
I have tested it now with OOoDEVm37 and with OOo3.0.1RC1 and there the error no longer occurs. Please test it with this versions whether it works for you too. http://download.openoffice.org/3.0.1rc1/index.html http://download.openoffice.org/680/
