Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 9703
'Ok' button of PRINT dialog box isn't activated for a particular sequence of operations that could possibly be done by the user
Last modified: 2003-02-20 10:35:54 UTC
I found this minor bug on a Windows 2000 (Service pack 3) system using the latest build (643C) of Open Office 1.0.1. The following is a sequence of operations done at the end of which the 'Ok' button of PRINT dialog box isn't activated. 1) Create a new OOo text document with some text in it. 2) Using File-->Print menu, bring the PRINT dialog box (in the dialog box that pops up, one can see that the 'Ok' button is activated at this point of time). 3) Now let's say I would like to use 'Print to File' option, so I check this box. 4) Open office very rightly asks for a file name using 'Save As' dialog box for performing the 'Print to File' operation. 5) Let's suppose I decided not to use this option, so I click 'Cancel' in the above 'Save As' dialog box. 6) Now we go back to the original PRINT dialog box; as I decided not to use the 'Print to File' option, I uncheck the 'Print to File' check box. 7) As we can see, now for me to print the document, the 'OK' button isn't activated. Of course, certainly not a major bug, but still I thought it's something that might cause some discomfort to the user and hence worth reporting.
HI->OS: We had a task like this and it seems it is back again. The OK button should be activatd when I deselect the checkbox print to file.
Set to P2
OS->TZ: You must be kidding to set this to a P2. p.s. component changed to UI
To set a button in the correct state is not a UI change. When you run into this error, you cannot print your document, because the OK button is not active. => broken functionality! This is like the internal task handling a P2 bug. So I'm not kidding!
Reassigned to OJ
Will be fixed in cws dba01. Best regards, Ocke
