This issue is unrelated to "Spreadsheets" so I propose changing "Component" to something more
generic, as it affects the whole OpenOffice suite of applications. The self-updated procedure simply
doesn't work and hasn't been for quite some time.

Having to visit the website and download it from there is a pretty lousy user experience and if the
update procedure is unsupported for whatever reason, the whole update feature and related user
interfaces should be removed completely. The way it is now with a seemingly functioning update
feature that doesn't work at all is just frustrating.

The simplest form of "fix" to the problem is to direct the user to the download page of OpenOffice.org
where he can manually download and update the application, but a fully functional automatic self-
updater (with a BitTorrent backend) would have been so much better.
