Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 70718
Calc and Draw/Impress use bad positions for subscript text
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:40:43 UTC
Calc and Draw/Impress apply bad positions for subscript text by default. With bad I mean that the subscript text ist positioned to be completely beneath the "normal" text, although the checkbox "Automatic" is checked by default. Just compare the attached screenshots: Calc with Excel and Draw with Powerpoint. In Writer the checkbox "Automatic" leads to good results. Please also have a look at Issue 70680 and Issue 21714; but note that these are NOT duplicates! Is it necessary to file a separate issue for Draw? Or does this bug have the same originate in Draw/Impress?

(Please ignore the copy of the attached draw.png with bad mime type. It was a mistake.)
Positioning for superscript text is OK, only subscript is affected.
Hi Thomas, it's the Edit engine I think, therefore your construction site. Frank
I hope this bug can be fixed as soon as possible. Setting target.
Changing Component to Draw since no one seems to care about this issue for Calc.
This is not a 3.01 target in itself. And because of limited developing resources and thus other issues being regarded as more important than this one it will not be fixed in OOo 3.0.1. Setting target to 3.x for the time being.
