Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 55523
Saving impossible after inserting other file
Last modified: 2005-10-11 09:43:51 UTC
You create a new presentation file, then choose insert>file, choose the attached "example file.odp", select the first and only page ("simmetria 2") and insert it. All seems well, but the new presentation file cannot be saved in any format: when tryin to do so you get the save error message shown in the attached bitmap. If instead you try to start the fullscreen presentation from the inserted page, the app freezees and must be closed with the task manager. I other cases, working on more complex files, the saving command directly crashes the app instead. In all, the insert>file command in almost completely unusable and quite unstable. This is doubly unfortunate since, as documented in issue 55156, this insert>file is the only way to copy some objects mantaining the associated animation effects from one file to another (copy and paste and the "duplicate" shift+F3 function do not).

Reproducible, not only with the bugdoc but with other files as well. The ID of the error report is rguu98.
Accepted.
What I have found out so far: When I try to switch to the new slide instead of saving the document I observe a DisposedException thrown by SdGenericDrawPage::getPropertyValue() because of a missing model. I can strip down the bugdoc to to just the group object with the arrow and yellow note. Ungrouping it makes the DisposedException go away.
Please have a look.
