In the Writer application, there is a dialog that regroups all settable properties of images, frames, etc. Those same entities can also be used in Impress, but there such a dialog is really missing. The context popup menu does not give access to all properties; e.g. one can't see or change which file a linked image is linked to (and the Edit Links dialog does not have a preview pane so guessing is necessary).

Similarly, the Writer application gives access to all this via the Navigator; it would be nice if all objects on a slide similarly showed up in the Impress Navigator (currently only OLE objects are shown, and these are 'inert').

Please try using the latest OOo 1.1 Rc4, 
Your version already old enough, and many bug fixes since your version 
and 1.1 RC4.

The Issue you raised is currently 'Unconfirmed' pending review, but has not been
updated within the last 3 years. Please consider re-testing with one of the
latest versions of OOo, as the problem(s) may have already been addressed.

my owner to the owner "requirements".
