Description rfc1394 2020-09-22 09:51:04 UTC
This is not the same as Issue 67683 or is it like Issue 75239.

I am writing text for a book, and it has signs in English and Spanish. Using Firefox and either Bing Translate or Google translate, I convert the text.

Here is the paragraph I am writing:

As he had been told, there was a U shaped table, Jim being on the left side, the floor below him painted in green stripes, with a steel plate directly in front of and under him, this green area running to his left as far as the whiteboard, and another steel plate. To his right for another meter the green area continues, before being marked with a yellow area, then finally a red line. Two Danger/Pelligro signs in English and Spanish signs appeared. The first read: “Danger: Do not cross the red line without permission, you may be shot without warning” and “Peligro: No cruce la línea roja sin permiso, puede ser disparado sin previo aviso,” while the second sign read, “Warning: this is a secure area. the use of deadly force has been authorized” and “

At this point, while the original copy of the "Danger Do not" note from OO to paste in Firefox worked, the copy of “Peligro: No cruce" worked to paste to OO. But when copying “Warning: this is" from OO to Firefox, the Spanish text does not paste in OO, only the original copied item. However, the Spanish text does paste into Notepad, but still won't paste in OO. Copy from the other tab to paste in this one where I am writing this message pastes "Advertencia: esta es una zona segura; el uso de la fuerza mortal ha sido autorizado" and when I try pasting it into OO after I pasted it here, it works. But if I paste from OO to Firefox, then try to copy from Firefox to OO, it only repastes what was copied from OO.

This is weird. It's like sometimes OO only recognizes what it has placed in an "internal" clipboard separate from the system one. While being flaky is good for cherry pies, it is not very tasty in software applications.

Copy and paste operations don't depend of AOO but operating system.

Please provide more details about your configuration:
1) which Windows edition is used
2) which version of Firefox
