I am not sure if this is a bug or just a missing feature...

In Writer, I can select text at one place in a document; hold Ctrl button and
select more text elsewhere in the document. This does not work when I try to
select text from multiple places in a text box. This behavior is not just
specific to Writer. I observed identical behavior in Impress also.

MRU->WG: is there already an RFE which handles the addition of multi-selection
(Ctrl-doubleclick) in drawing text boxes?
