In DEV300m39, when you convert from nomal to notes ,the new slide button is 
disable,but when you click the left slidesorter panel,the button is 
activated,I think the state of the new slide button in  notes is same to nomal.
the steps  as follows:
1.create a new presentation
2.click the notes ,the new slide button is diable,when you click the left 
slidesorter panel ,the button is activated, and click the middle window the 
button is diable too.
