PLease give further information of what IME you are talking about.
Those that come along with (this/that/another) Windows?
Comment 4 t6nis 2002-12-04 12:41:49 UTC
I mean MS Global IME 5.02 (Japanese/Chinese/Korean), I can download
separately from:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/recommended/ime/default.
asp

It is meant to enable users of English (ie. WESTERN) version of MS
Windows 98 to input Japanese (or Chinese/Korean) characters on their
computer. Besides MS Office and Internet Explorer, it works with
Netscape Composer.

ES->SBA: THE problematic of supporting non-native Win98...
Comment 6 stefan.baltzer 2003-02-14 10:57:00 UTC
Openoffice.org only supports the native IMEs that come along with the
native Asian Win98 systems. The IME you mentioned it is not using the
Windows Standard APIs, thus it only works with MS Office.
