"Convict's" missing from spell-checker

Although "convict" is primarily used as a verb, it is also a noun and therefore has a possessive. Typing "convict's" into an empty Writer document results in a red wavy line.
I checked with "Ooo 3.0.0 RC3 Multilingual version German UI WIN XP: [OOO300m8 (Build9357)]" and can confirm the reported effect: in an English text "convict" will be recognized, but "convict's" not. The word is required for "convict's suit", "Convict's Bay" (Bermuda), ...
This bug has been verified on Linux running OOo 2.4.1 680m17 (Build 9310).
