Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 9654
Context Menu: superscript and subscript styles missing from context menus for text boxes
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:13:53 UTC
In Writer, to apply subscript or superscript you can highlight some text, right-click to pull up the context menu and select Style. Apart from options like bold and italic, you can select superscript (Ctrl Shift P) or subscript (Ctrl Shift B). Doing the same in the Draw component, the same styles are available in the context menu except for superscript and subscript. However, these styles _are_ available using the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl Shift P and Ctrl Shift B. It appears that the text style context menu should be enhanced to include superscript and subscript.
Set to new.
This is reproduceable in version 1.0.1 and in an actual internal one. Reassigned to Christian.
Just because we don't have all menus like the writer doesn't mean its a bug. What does the user expirience team thing about this? If we fix this bug its fair to take a lot more menu entries from writer also with the same argument. But then we had an idea to keep impress/draw simple because its not a writer
FL->MMP: Did you have plans for unifying menus in the future and/or what is your opinion on this one. I think we should have these basic menus identically in all apps.
