I assume, that SO8 update 12 is related to OOo 2.3. 

When printing handouts set the Printer Options to Contents->Handouts, 
Quality->Grayscale, the resulting PostScript contains a correct number of 
pages, but pages are empty. The issue seems to be independent of the 
PostScript Driver.

SO8 update 13 exhibits the same behaviour.
