Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 94504
Text in text boxes truncated when printed
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:55:41 UTC
this report has been filed here: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/212031 "This attachment is an example of a file that cuts off the top of the text in vertical text boxes. It occurs when printing to my real laser printer and to a virtual pdf CUPS printer (see following .pdf attachment)." example: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/13124821/Duplex%20printing%20guide%20for%20Brother%20DCP-7020.odp http://launchpadlibrarian.net/13124829/Duplex_printing_guide_for_Brother_DCP-7020.pdf
I checked sample file with "Ooo 3.0.0 RC3 Multilingual version German UI WIN XP: [OOO300m8 (Build9357)]" and can confirm the reported effect. Same with "2.4.1 Multilingual version German UI WIN XP: [680m17(Build9310)]". No Problem with PDF export. Not only vertical text boxes affected, with FreePDF I also see the problem with text box "Manual Feed Orientation for Duplex Printing".
Problem remained after I modified font from Nimbus (not installed on my PC) to ARIAL or Times New Roman. My Printer: HP OJ 6110
same on openoffice.org-writer-1:3.0.0-8.1.fc10.x86_64
Reproducible. Reassigned.
