Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 91409
[JA] A technical term 'NULL' should be left untranslated
Last modified: 2008-08-21 10:02:40 UTC
There are 48 lines that includes a technical term NULL. Some of them have been wrongly translated into a Japanese word. The term NULL and various forms with combination of capital and small letters such as Null and null should not be translated and left in an original form. The attachment lists original lines and currently translated lines side by side. To make translations more appropriately, we would have to have some discussions. So could you please have a look at the list first? This issue comes from an inquiry regarding Base posted by maharu in the OOo Q&A of Japanese community. The list attached in this issue is made from localize.sdf in the followings: English : extended/ooomisc/sdf/DEV300_m22_2008-07-01_02-27-52.sdf.bz2 Japanese: extended/developer/DEV300_m21/OOo-Dev_DEV300_m21_src_l10n.tar.bz2 References: http://oooug.jp/faq/index.php?faq/4/1128 http://www.freeml.com/openoffice/11162

Yuko, please evaluate these and fix them with pootle.
I reverted the translations for NULL/Null/null to the original English words on Pootle.
I verified that one message with NULL was fixed in the attribute textbox dialog in OOO300_m3, so I close this as verified.
