[JA] Translations of unit names
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:02:29 UTC
Could you evaluate this issue? These translations are used as a unit name and appear in a metric text field following to a number. extended/ooomisc/sdf/DEV300_m22_2008-07-01_02-27-52.sdf.bz2 vcl source\src\units.src 0 itemlist SV_FUNIT_STRINGS 1 en-US mm 2 en-US cm 3 en-US m 4 en-US km 5 en-US twips 6 en-US twip 7 en-US pt 8 en-US pi 9 en-US " 10 en-US in 11 en-US inch 12 en-US ' 13 en-US ft 14 en-US foot 15 en-US feet 16 en-US miles 17 en-US mile 18 en-US % vcl/source/src/localize.sdf vcl source\src\units.src 0 itemlist SV_FUNIT_STRINGS 1 ja ミリ 2 ja センチ 3 ja メートル 4 ja キロメートル 5 ja twip 6 ja twip 7 ja ポイント 8 ja ピクセル 9 ja " 10 ja in 11 ja インチ 12 ja ' 13 ja ft 14 ja フィート 15 ja フィート 16 ja マイル 17 ja マイル 18 ja % There is unexpected behavior with current OpenOffice.org Japanese. Directly typing a number followed by one of the unit names does not work appropriately. Type Interpretation 10mm 10.00センチ 10cm 10.00センチ 10pt 10.00センチ 10in 25.40センチ 10" 25.40センチ 10% 0.1 10ミリ 10.00センチ Apparently, the translated unit names are ignored while original names are correctly recognized. In comparison to Japanese version of OpenOffie.org, English version works well with such unit names. So those translations could be reverted to original English one for the better usability. This phenomenon is originally reported by EighthRest in the Japanese community. References: http://oooug.jp/faq/index.php?faq/4/1132
I agree with submitter. Reassigned to Yuko.
I reverted the translated unit names to the original English names in vcl/source/src.po on Pootle.
The fix was included in OOO300_m3 build, but it seems that the original issue is not fixed. Please verify if the issue is fixed or not.
