Same as 7014, State field data not stored or retrieved from user information.

This is still true, in every install I've ever done from StarOffice 5.0 to 
present, including 643.  However, I did a network installation yesterday, then 
a workstation install, and in that framework, the data entered in Setup was 
available from the Tools-Options-User... screen.  This could narrow down the 
search for the problem.  It apparently only occurs in standalone installations.

I need someone to point me to the proper module(s) in the code tree so I can 
try to examine this myself.

Marc, I re-opened issue 7014 - we should track there what in your
system is different from the system where somebody said "works for me".
Changing this one here to DUPLICATE, as re-opening is the way to go if
your unsatisfied with the "resolution" somebody used :)

As stated, this seems to be a problem only if done on a standalone 
install of OOo.  I did a -net and -workstation install, and it seems 
to be ok.  Does this give a clue?

More on this:

I find that it now works on 1.0.1 and 643 in standalone 
installation, but only from the Tools-Options menu.  The value input 
during installation is not saved, or is not retrieved by the 
UserInfo dialog.  Perhaps what is entered at install time is saved 
to a different file than the info saved/retrieved by the UserInfo 
dialog?

I browsed the source code in "svtools", and it looks fine.  I was 
curious as to where to find the code for the dialog itself.  Please 
tell me where that is.  Also, I could not find the "svx" branch 
anywhere, mentioned in a response to #7014.

As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved duplicate
issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is
unfortunately to set them to verified.
