Description cybrmatt 2008-05-26 15:16:22 UTC
I've had a user complain to me about several of his slides importing strangely
when trying to open native PowerPoint (2003) documents in Impress. I verified
the issue on both 2.4.0 and 3.0 Beta, and was also able to reproduce a minimal
test case using the offending component. It appears to be an autoshape with a
simple drop shadow. In PowerPoint, the test case renders as a rectangle with
rounded corners, and fits nicely within the center of the page. When OOo
renders the same image, it turns into a thin band that goes vertically offscreen
and is too thin. This same distortion is viewed repeatedly in my user's files
with the same type of shape being at fault. I have the test case freely
available; I'm hoping the bug tracker will let me attach it. If not, I'll have
to link it externally or send by request.
