Description steve_campbell 2008-05-08 16:49:35 UTC
[This defect was found in version 3.0.0 beta (aqua), which was not in the list
on the web form.] When spell checking is enabled and a word does not appear in
the dictionary, a wavy red line appears under the word. Selecting "Ignore All"
should cause the red line to disappear. It does so in version 2.4. It does not
do so in 3.0.0 beta. Selecting "Ignore All" has no visible effect. This is true
whether "Ignore All" is chosen via "Tools / Spell Check" or via right-clicking
on the misspelled word and selecting "Ignore All."

To demonstrate: un-check "Format / AutoFormat / While Typing" and type some
intensionally misspelled words. The red line appears under these words. Place
the cursor in one of these words and select "Tools / Spell Check... / Ignore
All." The red line does not disappear.

I can confirm this on DEV300m11. The IgnoreAllList dictionary is write protected, I can not add words
manually through cmd-, -> languages -> linguistics. This is possible in 2.4. Maybe this is the cause?

Reassigned to SBA.

I would like to confirm that this persists in 300_M14 on Linux - gentoo-AMD64
installed from the binary rpms.

Going to Tools-Options-Writing Aids and choosing to Edit the IgnoreAllList it
reports "Read Only." Needless to say the list is empty.

The IgnoreAllList does not appear to exist as a separate entity, at least it is
not found by slocate
