Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 88237
Mac OS X (Aqua): Text decoration can cause improper line breaks
Last modified: 2008-07-10 09:36:08 UTC
The issue: When Underlining, making Italic, or making Bold words at (or near) the end of a line in a multiline paragraph, sometimes the text modified will be improperly moved to the following line, leaving a large unused space at the end of the original line. Pictures are better than words: Before underlining: http://www.vorklift.com/temp/ooo/Normal.png After underlining: http://www.vorklift.com/temp/ooo/Underlined.png This particular paragraph will reproduce this error in a new document (retyped from scratch, not copied). See: http://www.vorklift.com/temp/ooo/Broken.odt - underline the word "gone" in the first paragraph to reproduce. This issue is intermittent and does not occur regularly. I have been unable to find any other paragraphs that reproduce this error. Version is the Alpha snapshot of the OSX Aqua build. I have not tested on other platforms.
Reassigned to SBA.
I can confirm this on DEV300-m_17. For me it seems to occur all the time (not intermittently).
Created attachment 54324 [details] example of incorrect line breaks caused by text decoration
unchanged in DEV300-m_19
in m_21 as well. How come nobody looks into this? It seems a quite well defined and serious issue. Writer could be called unusable until this is fixed.
Its gone in m_23. So can't be confirmed any more :) Best .p.
SBA->pancapangrawit: Thanks for looking after this. Set to "Worksforme"
