Description divanorama 2008-01-12 13:28:38 UTC
I had 2 network printers configured, but temporarily unavailable (i.e. no
connection). This caused OO to crash on opening or saving any document!
Crash is very stable, OO tries to restart and restore document and crashes
again, and again,.. until killed manually from taskmanager :))
Applies at least to OO calc 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, and xls, odt documents (I had many
attempts to make OO work again, changing versions, trying different documents
and so on..).
Deleting printers brought OO back to life, but it's not too cool workaround ;(

P.S. printers names were smth like http://192.168.0.66:123/Canon, whole
192.168.0.* network was unavailable, these were the only printers present, one
of them was obviously set as default.
P.P.S. no other software crashed on even trying to print ;(

I think it's two separate critical issues:
1) crash on any open/save when network printer is unavailable
2) crash on opening document becomes cyclic (open document->crash->autorestart-
>autorestore document prompt->choosing to restore or to not(choice doesn't
matter)->opening document->crash->...)

I can't reproduce it in OOo3.0_RC1_ZH_CN on WinXP
Would you like checking it once more in the latest OOo build and give more
information and step-by-step description about this issue?
