Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 8287
Test of text only browser interface to IZ
Last modified: 2005-07-25 22:07:02 UTC
This issue has been opened only as a test of how OOo website and IZ interface with a user of text-only browzers. This issue was opened using Lynx (not sure of what version...will add later) running on Linux Redhat 8.0.
This test was performed thru Lynx 2.8.5-7. My goal was to see if I could file a bug thru a text-only browser in follow-up of comments made on an email message sent to the [qa-dev] mail list, 13 Oct 2002, named "User friendly?". I was successful at opening the issue. Although, I found that after entering each new page, Lynx highlited [logonew.gif] at the very top of the first page. Then the arrow keys needed to be used to get to the bottom of the text where the new page was located. I responded to the origninal email message on the [qa-dev] mail list to learn if this was the same findings the original claim messenger had seen, but there was no follow-up in that direction. There was discussion about the web-site interface on the [www-qa] mailing list in messages with the same name as the original. And the issue was originally presented to the [qa-dev] list to show a need for issue reporting via email. But neither was part of my original motivation of opening this issue. I opened this issue to test whether or not an issue could be reported via a text-only browser. Therefore I close this issue as works-for-me, assuming it can be reopened if anyone disagrees.
oops...error in above notes. the discussion about the web interface occurred on the [www-dev] mailing list...i spaced thru that typing of name.
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
