There are garbage characters in the OOo upgarede page for Japanese.

Japanese page:garbage!

English page:correct
http://update.services.openoffice.org/ooo/221.html

I use Internet Explorer6 and firefox2 with Windows XP.
Character Encoding is:
* Not Good=Shift-JIS:
* Not Good=EUC
* Not Good=SO-2022
* Not Good=UTF-8

When set UTF-8, I can read part of Sentence.

. Also there are garbage chars. Why??

Also - we find garbage characters in older pages as well.
I suspect setting of update.services domain is not suitable for
Japanese. I can resend our pages, too.

Frank can add that page.

JA->Maho/Naoyuki: Would it be possible to translate the en-US page
http://update.services.openoffice.org/ooo/221.html in format UTF-8 and attach
the resulting HTML page to this issue ? Afterwards Frank will exchange that
page. Until the page hasn't been exchanged I will deactivate the online update
notification for Japanese.
