This is actually a very simple bug to replicate.  At least, I have been able to
replicate it consistently.

Open a new writer document.  Insert a new drawing OLE.  Draw a filled shape. 
Change the fill to a bitmap.  Export the document as a pdf.  Part or all of the
bitmap will not be seen within the pdf.

As I have looked at this a bit further, I realized that the shapes that I was
trying this were somewhat on the small side and generally rectangular.  As I
tried to replicate the issue with larger shapes or ovaloid shapes, I was able to
gain a glimpse of what seems to be happening.  The bitmap is being shifted down
and to the right, but it isn't being displayed beyond the bottom or right
orthagonal edge.

I didn't even see the bitmap before because the shapes were to small to notice a
shift.

confirmed and occurs also in calc.

pl->sj: Is this a problem of the pdf export filter itself or rather the
framework OLE implementation ? Who draws the OLE objects in PDF export ?

Probably the same issue, which is why I do not file a separate issue for the
moment, and very easy to reproduce:

* In a Writer doc, draw a circle using the Drawing toolbar
* Right-click circle - Area: Fill: bitmap, choose a bitmap pattern.
* export to PDF.

The fill of the object is not exported to the PDF.
