Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 7402
offer OOo versions compiled for different x86 types: AthlonXP, Pentium4
Last modified: 2003-03-12 14:42:57 UTC
is this the appropriate component for this issue? I noticed that the german Windows OOo download contains a "Intel" in its filename. Could you also offer versions compiled with special x86 cpus in "mind"? Could you also compile with different memory models (if applicable) and optimization switches in mind? As OpenOffice is not a static product shipping on CD like MsOffice, it's "managable" by the user to have to choose the cpu and optimisations.
Hi Lars, with the current resources (mainly man power) we are not able to provide CPU specific versions. You may want to raise this to the dev@openoffice.org mailing list. Greetings, Stefan.
As mentioned on the qa dev list on March 5th I will close all resolved <wontfix/duplicate/worksforme/invalid> issues. Please see this posting for details. First step in IssueZilla is unfortunately to set them to verified.
