Description zhongqiyao 2007-01-09 08:45:12 UTC
Microsoft Windows XP Home SP2, Chinese Traditional.
OpenOffice 2.0.1, Chinese Traditional.

1. Open OpenOffice Help and go to any help page.

2. If you click the right panel to go to a page and click
   the left panel for "Table of Contents", it does not show
   you where you are in the hierarchy of help pages.

3. In OpenOffice Help, the tab for "Contents" 內容 (literal
   translation for "Contents"),
   is a mistranslation for 目錄 (correct translation
   for "Table of Contents", which is as short). This is
   the same translation problem as Microsoft Windows Help.

Thanks.

Qiyao

Microsoft Windows XP Home SP2, Chinese (traditional char).
OpenOffice 2.2.1, Chinese (traditional char).

1. In the above environment, open any help page
and going to the tab of "Table of Contents" still
does not bring you to the location in the tree of
help pages. I wonder if it should be an enhancement request.

2. As for as the translation of "Contents",
if you think we should keep the current terminology,
you may ignore this problem, or discuss with
the Chinese (traditional char) and Chinese (simplified char)
translators.

3. Sorry for entering two problems in one report.
If you need me to resubmit any one, I'll do it.

Thanks.

I replicated the problem 1 in Linux, open office version 2.3.0

The steps as follows:

1, Start a new text document with open office;
2, Press F1 to display the ehelper;
3, Click a link in the right frame, the Contents in the left frame will not
expand to the corresponding node;
4, Expand the Contents in the left frame, the page in the right frame will not
reflect the content of the activated node in the left frame.

Follow up test maybe required on Chinese version of open office and/or on
Microsoft platform.
