Description ismax 2002-08-24 15:54:18 UTC
When saving a file in previous StarOffice file formats, the "save with password" field is disabled and the file cannot be protected with a
password. Saving in xml format works as expected. All the documents types are affected (writer, calc...)

I'm not sure if this issue is related to framework component but I can't find a better place. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place.

Isma.

Thanks for posting Ismael.

Can you attach some files that reproduce the problem?

Thanks.

Yes I can if you need them, but the best way to see the problem is as
follow:

- Create a new document, let's say a spreadsheet.
- The document has no name yet, so go to 'save as'
- This dialog let you enter a name. Name your document.
- Select OpenOffice.org spreadsheet as the document type and you will
see the field "save with password" ready to go.
- Now, change the document type to any other previous StarOffice
format and the field will be unselectable, so you can not password
protect your document.

Anyway, OOo can open without problems a password protected
document saved with StarOffice 5.x or lower, but OOo can not save it
password protected.

Attached you will find a file created with StarOffice 5.2 and
password protected. The password is "ismax". You will be able to open
it with OOo but you will not be able to protect it again if you want
to save it in StarOffice format.
