Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 71917
open many files; modify one and save it; closing Impress think all files needs saving
Last modified: 2017-05-20 10:55:44 UTC
Chinese (Traditional character) version. 1. Import three Microsoft PowerPoint files. 2. Paste material from file 2 and file 3 into file 1. 3. Now save file 1 as Microsoft PowerPoint format. 4. Now close OpenOffice Impress. I asks all three files for saving, which is not needed. (File 1 is already saved, and file 2 and 3 are not modified.) Thanks. Qiyao
Reassigned.
I can't reproduce the bug. Please tell me how do you paste the objects from Slide 2 and 3 into slide 1. Do you use copy paste or do you use drag and drop? What kind of objects do you move? Please tell me how do you close the office. Do you use the x in the upper right corner or do you use File / Close?
1. Paste one page (slide) of file 2 as a new slide of file 1. 2. Paste one page (slide) of file 3 as a new slide of file 1. 3. Press the Icon for "Save" for file 1. 4. Press the upper right to close the entire Impress. At this point, it will ask to whether to save each of your three files. 5. This problem has existed since 2.0.1. Thanks. Qiyao
HERE is how to reproduce the problem in OOo 2.0.1. (2.0.4 has a similar problem. Note that because of bug 71915, I do not use 2.0.4.) 1. Open two blank presentations (only one blank slide each), and save them as "ppt1.ppt" and "ppt2.ppt". 2. Go to the only slide in the left pane of file 2, right-click the mouse and do "copy". Note that file 2 now have the "save" button activated, which should not be. (BUG) 3. Go to the left pane of file 1 and do "paste". 4. Save file 1. 5. Close file 1. (I though it will ask for save again, but it doesn't, which is correct. Sorry.) 6. Now close file 2. It will ask for saving file 2, which has not been modified. (BUG) Thanks. Qiyao
RELATED PROBLEM (Impress 2.0.1, Chinese Traditional). 1. Open a "PPT" file. 2. Modify it and click the "save" button. When asked whether to save as "PPT" format, click "yes". The "save" button becomes disabled. (correct) 3. Click the upper-right to close Impress. It will ask you whether you want to save it, but in fact, in does not need saving. (wrong) Thanks. Qiyao
set to new and change the target
I can reproduce the bug. The bug is that the save button become 'active' when I copy a slide intop another presentation. Please have a look.
Could you also reproduce the above "RELATED PROBLEM"? Thanks. Qiyao
