Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 70914
Triangle Authoshape not exporting to MS PowerPoint 97/2000/XP correctly
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:21:02 UTC
I have a sample file created with MS PowerPoint 2000 that I am trying to open in OOo 2.0.4 and then save as a MS PowerPoint 97/2000/XP file. It contains a single slide of autoshapes and when I go to save it, the triangle autoshapes come out all wrong. If I remove the triangle autoshapes and replace them with trapezoid autoshapes with the slider set so they look like triangles, everything works fine. Curiously enough, opening the saved file with the broken triangles in OOo again seems to render it just fine. I will attach the relevant files.
Created attachment 40088 [details] Original slide using triangles
Created attachment 40089 [details] OOo saved slide with broken triangles
Created attachment 40090 [details] Original slide using trapezoids
Created attachment 40091 [details] OOo saved slide with working trapezoids
Reassigned.
I checked with "2.0.2 German version WIN XP: [680m5(Build9011)]" and also "2.1.0 German version WIN XP: [680m6(Build9095)]". I can confirm the problem for both versions, OOo shows the exported PP as it should look, but PP-viewer shows destroyed triangles (pls. see my screenshots): Steps to reproduce: 1. open 'triangle.ppt' with OOo 2. Save as .ppt again and close 3. Open saved file with OOo Impress: looks fine Open saved file with PP or PP viewer: looks destroyed @unlord: Pls. specify your Platform and OS!
I can reproduce the bug with the attached triangle.ppt bugdoc. load the bugdoc in impress export it as PPT (and close it) load it in PPT Please have a look.
