Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 70271
WW8: hard numbering of heading paragraph not imported
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:17:33 UTC
I imported a word file with headings. The Heading 1 style (in Word) has its Numbering properties as follows: Level 1 Number format: 1 Number style: 1,2,3 Start at: 1 Number position: Left Aligned at: 0" Text position: Tab space after 0" Indent at: 0" Follow number with: Tab character ListNum field list name: Outline In the imported document, Heading 1 paragraphs have no space (or tab) between the number and the text. The original style specifies a tab between the number and the text.
Created attachment 39672 [details] word file showing Heading 1 format problem
But wait...there's more... The paragraph titled "Introduction" looks like 1 Introduction in Word, but looks like Introduction in OO 2.0.3.
MRU->OD: the headings in this WW8 document are formatted with a hard numbering, no outline with connection to paragraph style. The missing tab character which was also mentioned in the description cannot be imported currently. This feature will be implemented for a later version of OOo (see also NumberingBullets spec Part 2 on specs.openoffice.org).
.
OD->HBRINKM: WW8 import - please take over.
according to release status meeting: target 3.x
