Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 6926
Insert Date doesn't convert to readable date
Last modified: 2003-02-10 11:22:27 UTC
In Word processor, when using the Insert-> Fields->Date function, the date inserted is not in a date format. It reads a machine date (I think) and puts that in versus a typical date format. Eg. for today's date, 08/12/2002 the Date function puts in 037480 instead.
This is not an API issue. Forwarding to i18n team (AFAIK this is one with the l10n?)
I can't reproduce this on platforms currently available to me (Solaris/Linux/Windows). If this happens only on Mac I'll have to find someone with OOo on a Mac..
I just went into the OOo 1.0.1 I built and the insert->fields->Date works fine. It changes format when I modify the Tools->Options...->Language Settings->Languages->Default Language for Documents not the Locale, as I would expect it to.
@J.Pfersich: was that a MacOSX build?
Issue has been fixed in the public beta release.
