Description gabriel_donnell 2006-06-15 19:45:19 UTC
I need to link (to support updates) and rotate landscape Calc spreadseehts into
Writer documents. There is no way to seemlessly attach Calc spreadsheets to a
Writer document without missing up the format.

I know there are various methods for me to accomplish that. However, they are
not easy. I can do it. However, I need to deploy this to other less computer
savy users.

There needs to be a better way for OOo to handle this. I do not even want to
get into with how much better Macro$hit Office Word can do this with Excel. I
WILL to stick with OOo.

I know the Calc to Writer Copy, Link or Paste Improvement will not be completed
by the time I need it. Plus, I do not expect it to. I just want to make sure
the ball is not dropped.

Please put measures in place for the Calc to Writer Copy, Link or Paste
Enhancement Management. In other words, please do not close this ticket without
making sure it is on an OpenOffice.org Enhancement List.

I am willing to use my experience, talent, time, and other resources to provide
assistance. Please let me know how I can help.

If I need to seek assistance from the OpenOffice.org Commercial community, then
please specify that.

I will need to read through the IssueZilla or IssueTracker Guidelines & Rules so
I can fully understand the most proper and efficient way to submit issues. Then
I will update this ticket with the information, or submit another one.

Until that time, please do not close this issue. I will specify when this
ticket can be closed.

Thanks in advanced.

One for the requirements team.

Linking data into writer so it can be updated (DDE Link) doesn't carry over
formats as DDE is ASCII based and transports just values.
