Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 65755
When reopening the OO Writer pasted charts from MS FrontPage are missing (there are only blank, empty frames)
Last modified: 2006-11-19 06:24:40 UTC
Hi! I made some charts with statistical program SPSS 13. From SPSS I exported that charts as HTML file on my desktop. I "opened" them with edit-tab which appears after the right click mouse button. The program used for editing was Microsoft FrontPage. At the bottom of the FrontPage page there are 3 tabs: Normal, HTML, Preview. I choose Normal-tab and copied the chart, than I pasted it to OO Writer (2.0). Everything was OK until I closed and reopened that very same OO document. Instead of charts there are sometimes only blank, empty frames missing the charts and with a notice in the up right corner saying something like: Scatter of weight height by filter_$. What should I do to get those charts as I saved them, and above all what should I do for that type of a problem not to happen again? Thank you for your help. Best regards, Marjan
Well... after pasting the charts from MS FrontPage again there is no problem any more with their appearance in OO Writer document. I realy wonder why?!!!
Problem solved! Indeed it was not a problem but my missunderstanding of how this things work. At opening the OO Writer document the charts were missing cause of me deleting the source file or removing the source file from the original file to some other file so the document (OO Writer) itself did not have the right path to the source file any more resulting in blank frames instead of charts.
