I did the following: tried to replicate but couldn't.
(I'm happy to supply the broken file in question, it's completely knackered!).

1. Added some slides, just with text.
2. Added some images to slides 2, 3 and 4.
3. Deleted slide 4.
4. Saved file.
5. When I loaded the file back up, and tried to save or print, I got an "I/O 
error" up, and then SO crashed.

Please contact me if you want to look at the file! thanks, and sorry I can't 
provide more exact replication instructions, as I can't 100% remember what I 
did!

I can't reproduce the bug. Please attach the testdocument.

I don't get a testdoc so I think the bug dosn't occures anymore.
If the bug still occure please reopen the issue and attach a testdoc.
