Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 65272
"Above Paragraph" paragraph spacing is applied mid-paragraph at the top of a new column
Last modified: 2013-08-07 14:43:03 UTC
I've noticed that when I set "Above paragraph" spacing to a non-zero value, that spacing is applied at the top of the second column in a two-column text frame. The spacing is applied even when the text at the top of the second column is in the middle of a paragraph. The same behavior does not occur when the entire page is set to two-column mode. Steps to reproduce: - Open a new writer document. - Insert a text frame (my default are to select "wrap through", anchor to page, no border, a width of 5 in, and two columns) - Type enough paragraphs of text to wrap to the second column. - Select all paragraphs and set the "above paragraph" space to something non-zero. I've observed this behavior on Ubuntu 5.10 and 6.06 Beta. This behavior doesn't seem to occur in OpenOffice 1.3 on my Debian system. Thanks for creating a great product. Scott Thatcher

MRU->FME: the attachment shows the problem well. The "above paragraph" spacing is also applied at the top of the right column in the frame. This does not happen in the body text.
