Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 63606
Replace text with page break
Last modified: 2014-01-18 11:49:20 UTC
I need to replace all digits '1' in column one of my document with a page break. There doesn't seem to be a regex which would allow this capability unless I'm missing something. On the other hand, replacing text with line break (\n) works great! I searched the issue database. There are many issues similar to this one for Find and Replace. This might be a dup of 25177. Thanks.
Hi, this is a duplicate of issue 26719. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 26719 ***

This issue was originally opened on oo-writer 2.0.1. Still an issue for me with 2.1. It is not a duplicate of 26719. I am searching and replacing in the opposite direction: that is, I want to find text, then convert it to a page-break. The users in 26719 were searching for page-breaks. Again, I want to find all '1' in column 1 of my document and replace with page-break. These are printer control codes from another platform. So I search for regular expression '^1' no problem, but cannot find a way to replace with page-break. Using Replace with --> Format... --> Text flow, I find all Breaks are grayed-out. Thanks for help.
Reassigned to SBA.
a RegEx for you, ama
Even it is not really a RegEx problem, it's a missing feature. At the moment I do not know, why the page breaks are grayed out.
Any updates on line or page brake search tools? Naimmad
