Description raindrops 2006-03-08 14:09:38 UTC
The slide may contain closely located many objects. Some of them may be even
overlapping each other.

But when multiple objects are selected (by pressing SHFT+Click, or by drawing a
lasso with the mouse), the entire group of objects sows only one set of handles;
as if these objects are already grouped.

This is a defect, because the user cannot know which object is selected and
which is not. So, even if an object is already selected, he may try to select it
by clicking on it (which will of course UNselect the object). The worst part is,
even after committing this mistake, he will NOT realize that he has just
unselected an item that he actually wanted!

Desired: When multiple objects are selected, show the handles of each
separately. (See the attached file)

P.S. Such issues should be identified as defect. Time and again they are called
"enhancement". The problem that arises because of faulty requirement-analysis
that does not meet the user expectation IS a defect.

I understand the problem and your motivation very well. But an issue is only a
defect if something is broken or if it does not behave the way that it is
designed. But let's see if we can get it through...
Reproducible, reassigned. MS does show separate handles for all selected objects.
