Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 62135
"Find and replace" doesn't ignore hyphenation dashes
Last modified: 2006-08-29 08:26:30 UTC
When words in the text have hyphenation dashes (inserted with Strg+dash), these words aren't found when searching them with "find and replace", so far as there isn't entered the hyphenation dash also (what's not so easy because in this dialog, strg+dash results in a normal dash. You have to copy and paste a hyphenation dash from the document.). That's not very practical.
Reassigned to SBA.
OOo 2.0.2 RC1 finds words with hyphens if you search for the word without hyphen. Try the latest version. http://download.openoffice.org/680/
With 2.0.2rc1 I don't get this to work. Only when I activate "similarity search", this is possible.
you are right; this is only possible with Similarity Search enabled, which is the default
Sorry for commenting another time, but at my system (linux) Similarity Search is not the default.
