Description fergusmurray 2002-06-27 08:35:36 UTC
I carried out an install under my own (Administrator privilage) account, and
the actual user is having problems with all the desktop icons being set the
same.

If I do a repair on OpenOffice then the icons are fixed, but the problem
reappeared when the computer was restarted, if I remove OpenOffice then the
icons are fixed.

Reassigned to myself.
Because the problem is a Windows bug (see

)

Duplicate to issue#4843

Here an excerpt from the Posting of Olivier Jacquemin:
work-around:
- Open Start Menu, Settings, Control Panel, then click the Display
icon.
- Select the Appearance tab.
- Select the icon in the Item Box.
- Increase the icon unit (size) by 1.
- Select Apply.
- Decrease the icon unit by 1.
- Select OK.
- Delete the file %systemroot%\ShellIconCache Note: This file has a
hidden attribute.
- Log off and log back on to see the correct icons.
