Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 61410
When a table's row breaks, it appears like two rows
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:38:40 UTC
When a table's row has a solid border, and if it breaks across a page break, it appears like two separate rows. This creates an impression that the text in the row is terminated in midsentence. Such faulty interpretation can have serious consequences in some applications. Desired: Regardless of the borders settings, the "joining" sides of the broken row should not have solid borders. (In other words, the bottom edge on the first page and the top edge on the next page should have invisible borders.)
This won't be treated as a defect. Most users desire that the top/bottom border of a page-breaking cell is displayed as "closed". Maybe we can somehow implement an option to control this...
This issue is closely related to issue 52718 (No top table border shown after page break). I consider it as a defect as there should be either two borders or no border. I agree that there should be an option to control this.
