Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 61222
Single click on selected frame should also transfer to content's edit mode (like Enter key)
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:36:58 UTC
Cannot click inside a frame to edit its contents. If you happen to have selected the frame, it blocks the editing: You cannot click inside the boundary to edit its contents. In fact, to edit the frame, you need to take a curious approach: You have to click OUTSIDE the frame (in the text area of the document, which unselectes the frame completely) and then click inside the frame. It's like trying to catch Writer unawares: You first turn away from the frame and then suddenly jump into it!
Currently this is reserved for double click on frame (which opens its properties dialog). You have to use the "enter" key on a selected frame to be in frame content's edit mode. Maybe somehow it could be expanded by a single-click feature.
