Description Unknown 2002-06-25 10:05:17 UTC
On a NT4 SP6 (I already tried to reinstall SP6), I tried a network installation
of 0oo 1.0. It was fine, but it doesn't run any more. I try to repair it, to
suppress and reinstall it (I suppressed Application Data directory in user
profile as well). But it's impossible. Even a local installation of Ooo can't be
launched, whatever program I try (quicklaunch, oocalc, soffice...)

This is a major bug, since this user can't open its Ooo documents any more !
(but to be honest, I fear it comes from NT, even if it was never infected and if
I reinstalled the SP6 )

There was no problem during the installation (the log say "0 error"). I tried to
install&lauch it as administrator and as user, same result :

Dr Watson show me an exception : access violation. Here is the content of
drwtsn32.log (in french but it's easy to understand)

More information are necessary:
Have you installed as Administrator with the switch /net? Install in
a inst_dir e.g. Program. Every user has to start the setup from
<OOo_inst_dir>/program to make a workstation installation in his own
user-directory, this takes only few Space.

Comment 3 Unknown 2002-06-25 10:49:39 UTC
yes I did, and the network installation runs fine for 20 other clients
(with a workstation setup on each)

the main ooo directory is on a SMB share on the Linux server (mounted
on S:), the workstation setup is on "C:\Program Files..."

Sorry, I was in the vacation therefore I announce myself only now.
Which is the difference between the one and 20 others clients where
the Office works fine?
Are there hardware differences?
Which hardware and driver are present?
Possibly it is because of the attempt to deinstall the SP6.
Comment 5 Unknown 2002-08-21 10:07:09 UTC
If I remember well, I changed the computer to be able to install
OpenOffice ! No idea where can be the previous one, maybe I'll send
some news when I'll find it again.
