Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 59386
Updating TOC in Web Layout view breaks end of document
Last modified: 2017-05-20 11:21:46 UTC
I write most my documents using the Web Layout view. And most of them have a TOC at the beginning. When new sections are added to a document and that I update its TOC, the end of the document is broken. Sometimes its end is cut, sometimes it's splitted. The only solution I found to fix the document was to switch to Print Layout view and back to Web Layout. During this process I can see OOo recalculating the document height because the scrollbar is jumping around, indicating that the new height is longer that the old one, before I updated the TOC. I will attach a test document and some screenshots of the broken views I got. To reproduce the bug you can just copy a section to the end and update the TOC, it should break the document in one of the two ways I described, depending of the length of the new section. Adding 2 lines I got a cut document, adding a whole new section I got a splitted document.
