Description boardquake 2005-12-06 21:31:24 UTC
In the "Fields" windw, "reference" tab, the "Selection" pane is too narrow to
view and entire footnote. It's difficult to cross-reference when working with
long documents.

For those editing legal or academic texts it's a problem [especially when the
work is composed of chapters and the footnotes are restarted in each chapter --
then you can have nine footnote #1, nine footnote #2, etc.!!]

Proposed solution: make the window expandable or scroll-able, to enable the
author to view the entire footnoe

Experimental prototype patch.

The attached patch is experimental prototype, that contains only:
- make field tab dialog resize-able
- make cross-reference tab page resize-able
- still initial size of the dialog is large.

I wonder if the dialog is embeded in the sidebar, it is much better than to make
the current dialog resize-able. But tab page of the filed dialog contains
some code to insert field.
Feel free to work on this issue if someone interested in.
