Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 58593
Impress pdf export with notes creates also "normal"
Last modified: 2013-02-07 22:38:05 UTC
Hello, if I export .pdf via the menu I have the option to export the notes also. The result is "strange". The system creates "normal" slides without the notes and afterwards the slides with the notes parts. I believe this could be marked as a defect as I can not see the usage of having both. I believe the correct export would be only to have slides with the notes part. Best regards, Lars
This works as it should, no fefect here. I change this to enhancement. It should be possible to export the notes separately from the rest.
As this is an enhancement, setting to NEW and reassigning.
still valid for open impress 2.2 why is this only an enhancement? currently it is not possible to export a presentation to PDF with note slides but without drawing slides. it always prepends the drawings to the front, thereby doubling the number of pages. adding the checkbox to print the drawings on top of the notes checkbox and selected by default would be ideal.
It would be nice, if the printing menu options could be added to the pdf-export options in Impress. Here it is possible to select in the options dialog: "drawing", "notes", "handout", ... This should also be possible for the pdf-export. I need the feature for lectures. At the moment one has to use a pdf-printer for exporting notes alone.
Created attachment 49113 [details] These options should also be available for pdf-export.
Is there a target milestone planned for this feature? It would be nice to have it in 2.4. If this is not possible 3.0 should include it.
I would support the calls for this feature. It would enable my training company to switch from MS Office to Impress for. I agree that it is hard to imagine the current situation (slides and notes both exported) evee being of use.
