When opening a file (word processor, presentation, spreadsheet) from a networked
directory, the file does not open.  Open Office instead opens a new word
processing document.

This only occurs if the networked directory is an unmapped share of the form
\\server\share\ . If the share has been mapped to a local drive, Open Office
successfully opens the document.
