Description andy90 2005-11-16 17:12:18 UTC
- german version of openoffice
- problem with the novell version and after uninsalling it with the original
version from openoffice.org
- no changes made since installation (everything default)
- changing paperformat to A5, landscape format
- inserting table
=> draw crashes (every 3 times I tried to insert a table)
- the surface of draw remains on the screen, but draw does not respond anymore
- surfaces of other programs remain in the screen, too after starting and
closing them
- after logout and login again, office tries to rebuild the formerly unsafed
document
- rebuild is ok but without the default format and without the table

Comment 2 andy90 2005-11-17 10:46:50 UTC
I am using openSuse Linux 10.0 with all available updates via yast installed.
Tried to insert the table once more in the normal A4 format and it is the same
problem.

Did anybody with a crash sent an error report? Which email title did you use,
this would make it easier to find. If not and the crash is still reproducible
please send it. Thanks.

the textual crash dump does not help, andy90, can you please submitt a crash
report through the crash manager and note the report id you get via mail in this
issue. Thank you
Comment 10 clippka 2005-12-21 10:10:42 UTC
andy90, I got an email from Rainer Bielefeld (thanks!) that you do not get crash
report ids for OOo versions. Please do the following, submitt a crash and note
the email you used in that crash report and the date you submitted that report
in this issue. Sorry for the inconvinience.
Comment 11 andy90 2005-12-21 11:18:12 UTC
Now (21, December, 2005, around 1145 (german winter time))
I sent the crash report with OpenOffice. But I suppose it went to Sun Microsystems.
I wrote in the decription field that it belongs to Issue 58019.
Comment 12 clippka 2006-03-06 14:14:13 UTC
oh, I somehow overlooked this issue.

@andy, do you still remember which email you used for the crash report? I can't
search for descriptions, I can only do a search for emails. And it is ok that it
went to Sun Microsystems as I work for SUN
Comment 13 andy90 2006-03-06 14:30:31 UTC
It should have been "and_y90@web.de"
Comment 14 clippka 2006-03-06 15:36:12 UTC
found the crash report but doesn't help me much. The crash from the report is a
writer that dies while loading. (stack id 228393)
Comment 15 clippka 2006-03-06 15:52:38 UTC
@cl->wg: Can't do much if we don't get this reproduced
Comment 16 wolframgarten 2006-03-15 13:19:23 UTC
Were the office versions used when getting the crash original OOo versions or
were they versions build by the distributions? Still not reproducible here.
Comment 17 andy90 2006-03-15 16:34:59 UTC
I found out that with the new version 2.0.2 (german) there is no problem
anymore.

Before, the problem existed with the version included with Suse 10.0 and also
with the version from openoffice.org.

But thank you for the support!!!
