Description jonrunheim 2005-11-12 11:50:47 UTC
After installing Fedora Core 4 x64 I immediately ran yum to update OOo.
I got version 2.0.
When starting the app I get the error-message after the progressbar was
completed and the OOo banner closed down:

OOo has crashed! Paste this into your bug report:
0xf690d028: /usr/lib/openoffice.org2.0/program/libuno_sal.so.3 + 0x1e028
0xf690d7ee: /usr/lib/openoffice.org2.0/program/libuno_sal.so.3 + 0x1e7ee
0xffffe500: + 0x500 (__kernel_sigreturn + 0x0)

I uninstalled and reinstalled with yum but still get the same result.
What should I do?
I have searched for answers but haven't found any solutions.

Regards,
Jon Runheim

Blame RH ;-)
More seriously, use a 32bit kernel.
Transferring to porting group.

@Jon:
Which Linux distribution are you using? What is the source of your RPMs? Did
you get the RPMs from your distribution? Fedora Core 4's 32-bit OpenOffice.org
2.0.0 suffers many crashes apparently due to a GCC 4.0.0 optimization bug:
details are on the Redhat Bugzilla.
