Steps to duplicate problem:
1) Press F4 to bring up the databases
2) Select a database table of your choise.  The problem exists on a variety of
databases.
3) Click the squares on the left of the data to select the entire record/row(s)
or the entire table
4) Click the "Data to Fields" icon and nothing happens.

If you click the "Data to Text" icon, then the "Insert database columns" wizard
comes up and I have an opportunity THERE to insert data as fields.  Is that what
I should be doing?  If so, then remove the confusing "Data to Fields" icon.

P.S.  Thanks for an awesome office suite and for all your hard work.  It is
definately noticed!

OK, maybe I just didn't realize how to use "Data to Fields".  If I first create
a document with database fields in the document and then select a row in the
database sources, and then click the "Data to Fields" icon, OOo does update the
document's fields with the data for whatever row I select.

If this is the intended action, then I offer a suggestion:  Reword the help text
that comes up when you let the mouse hover over this icon.  Currently, it states
"Data to Fields" when extended tips are turned on.  Maybe change it to say
"Update document's fields with selected values."

Anyway, the issue should probably be changed from "Defect" to "Enhancement"

clu: yes, 'data to fields' only works if you have a connected form with fields -
that can maybe be confusing or misunderstanding, so we should improve this behavior
